Salt Lake City by 7:30 ~

Well, we are truly a thankful mom and dad tonight!! The guys were pulling in to Salt Lake about 7:30pm when I called to ask where they were! Yeahhhh!! they made it, safe and sound! We thank our Heavenly Father for this hedge of protection and the guardian angels HE placed around them. We are so glad the 11 year old Honda made the trip with out any trouble. Burt says the condo is very nice and he is So excited to actually be there! I think, he just can't believe it! There is snow on the ground and the temps are in the teens. He said that Salt Lake doesn't seem nearly as cold as Nebraska did. As far as I know there were no speeding issues or conversations with any law enforcement in any of the 7 sates they traveled through! So, that's pretty amazing for 3 college kids and 1,652 miles of driving!
Burt likes his roommates and the view from the complex is mountains, so he loves that! He said they will go to sleep early tonight and then drive up to Park City in the morning. They were out getting skis and lift tickets when we last heard from them. They can't wait to 'hit the slopes'! Burt will only enjoy one day as a real tourist, then he starts work in Park City next week. He hopes to 'perfect' his snow boarding on his off days. We'll see how that goes! We don't want him doing this, we don't want him gone away...but we do want him happy, so we hope this will do the trick for a while! I'll post some trip photos if Burt send them to me later, or some ski pics when he sends those. Thanks for your prayers for 'these' kids on 'this' trip! They made it!
