It seems that the good people at the Coalition on Hague Accreditation, under the Department of State, US gov., have taken their jobs very seriously, and have obviously seen the light more than once this year! These decisions will not only protect families here, pursuing adoption in blind faith,... but more importantly, waiting children there, who have no voice what so ever in their lives or futures. Until now, families, nor children in need of families, have had an advocate with in the US government....thank you COA, 'job well done'. More attention is needed towards agency ethics and codes, especially at the state legislative level. In my opinion, State Departments of Children's Services need more power to moderate adoption agency behaviors and business practices, but this is an important first step for our government to take. I'd say it is quite a statement! See this list on the link below ~
Of course, all countries who recognize the Hague adoption compliance, are of interest to me, but especially the one in these photos - (Guatemala photos shared by Colleen S., and Tracy B.)
