Burton and John are heading home tonight a little faster than the 11 year old Honda would have brought them! Burt was in tremendous pain and just not able to make the (more than) 24 hour drive home. If the snow expected in Nashville tonight will just hold off until after midnight, they will probably make it home. Burt will head straight to the hospital and will hopefully be in surgery during the night sometime. The surgeon is aware that he (and his very broken wrist) are on the way. He has never been in such terrible pain and we hope John is keeping him drugged up so he can try to sleep on the flight. I'll update again as I get word from John on how he's doing, or if they make it in here tonight, and, of course, if they do get him into surgery! Thank you for keeping them in your prayers!
